AKCP gives you the ability to remotely monitor power, potentially giving you a huge return on investment by providing savings in power usage consumption. Remote monitoring capabilities eliminate the need for manual power audits as well as providing immediate alerts to potential problems and a deep understanding of your power usage.
The AKCP Power Monitor Sensor is designed to be used with AKCP’s Linux based line of securityProbe units creating a fully IP enabled power monitoring solution. The AKCP PMS can be fitted “in-line” or by using a more convenient “split core” and has a rugged design that communicates through an RS485 port, fully integrated into the securityProbe’s web interface in its own separate page. Users can be alerted when the sensor exceeds a pre-defined threshold with AKCP’s industry leading notification options:
* SNMP traps
* Email
* SMS
* MMS
* Skype call
Data collected over time using the Power Monitor Sensor can also be viewed using the securityProbe’s built in graphing tool and can be exported to external applications for analysis. The AKCP Power Monitor Sensor is a high quality compact design with an easy installation making it the ideal power monitoring solution.
There AKCP Power Monitor Sensors are available in 110V or 220V and as follows:
1. Single Phase
2. Three Phase
3. CT Type (Current Transformer)
In summary the AKCP Power Monitor Sensor features:
* Approved according to DIN standard (DIN_43880-1988)
* Compact design
* Easy to install
* LCD display
* IR communication interface
* Two RS-485 ports available on request
Measurement and register
'
The AKCP Power Monitor Sensor is capable of measuring killowatthours and kilovarh-hours(optional) delivered to and received from a load. The energy accumulation register has the capacity to display 99999999 kWh without overflowing.
Instantaneous power parameter measurement
It is able to instantly measure accuracy on any power parameter
* Power
* Voltage RMS
* Current RMS
* Power factor
Tariff Management (optional)
The PMS has a two way tariff management system for internal or external tariff control. The flexible internal tariff management system is configurable through the web interface software.
Maximum Demand (optional)
There are two options for MD recording that can be defined in the web interface software Block mode MD interval is configurable from 5min up to 60min. Slide mode MD interval and the slide window are both configurable.
Local Communication
Measured data and PMS parameters can be downloaded and configured through an optical port or RS485 with communication protocols of IEC62056-21 or Modbus.
Input/Output
Visible or infrared LED(s) in front of the PMS are used to indicate active and reactive energy consumption as well as for accuracy calibration. Output is used to accumulate energy by concentrator Two external voltage inputs are used HXE12AS to define the meter tariff.
Power Monitoring Summary
AKCP also provides a Current Transformer type power monitor sensor. The AKCP CT’s range from 100 amps to 4000 amps with meters of 120/240, 240/480, 50hz, 60hz, and can be single phase or three phase. The CT’s also come in either split core or solid core depending on your requirements.
